As you all know, my passion is equine photography. I love shooting horses and find it a unique field of photography.
But as much as I love it , I found myself struggling lately with the feeling that I am missing some inspiration.
In the Netherlands, you can get more rainy days than sunny days which made me realize that I need to find a unique way to combine studio and indoor photography with my horses photo shoots .
That's who I found myself at Nikon ambassador and photo artist , Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk workshop.
This workshop was not only about making beautiful studio photos, it was about creating your image from start to end.
First- making my own background:
Then, the light setting for the famous "Rembrandt light" who actually creates the same light that appears at the artist's paintings and gives them their uniqueness:
And of course photographing with the right models look and photos editing that at the end gives the photos their painterly and artistic look.
This special workshop gave me great new tools to start using at my future equine photoshoots and gave me inspiration to create my own scenes. I hope I will be able to use it soon and promise to show you all.
Meanwhile, enjoy my workshop photos and I hope they will inspire you as well to start looking for you own unique new tools to make better and more interesting photos.
Have a great new Year.
